We are surrounded by art and design, from posters in shop windows to the logos and symbols that crown every product that we own, from the very clothes we wear, to the cars we drive, the smartphones we carry around and the websites we visit. Everyday we’re are touched and influenced by art and design. Good design makes life simpler and technology intuitive whereas bad design often results in confusion and frustration. Art and design are universal, every human society uses design and imagery to communicate and represent ideas, histories, traditions and symbols of importance. Though these may differ from culture to culture there is a need in the human psyche to represent and interpret our world through art and design, to express our view of reality using a medium that can be shared with others and that can endure the test of time, that can potentially outlive us. For me art and design are more than just an occupation, they are a passion even a need. Design shouldn't just fulfil a need, it should inspire and attract, it should touch people and remain with them. My aim through digital destiny is to design products, services and advertising that is clean, elegant, intuitive, memorable and most of all human. For me digital destiny is an opportunity and a means through which I can explore and improve design, create design for the 21st century.

I am a 21 year old psychology student at the University of Manchester. I may be studying another subject but I feel my real passion is graphic design and other forms of creative computing. Any design project I work on quickly becomes the focus of my creative energy and thought process meaning that things move quickly and products are delivered on time.
